  • I would think that polls conducted after debates are a good indicator of what the audience initially took from the debate. In a atmosphere where McCain clearly needed to give an outstanding performance and Obama is gaining ground the initial image does matter.

  • I'm sure that Palin knows what a "flipper" is. As in a "flip-flopper." After all she has mastered that perfectly since she decided running for political offices.

  • It makes sense that NC is a battle ground. It has a large African-American population in Charlotte and Raleigh and a lot of institutions of higher learning. Obama also has a descent organization there to drive up the vote from the younger groups.

  • I completely agree. That interview will not be any way as interesting as an interview from any of the presidential candidates. The truth is she is a person who has gotten luck, time and time again. She is being treated better than Biden because she is new and better looking.

  • That interview is a recipe for a gaffe. It is good that she is finally going to take question (she was going to have to eventually). Palin has been riding high because she has not had to answer questions. That is starting to change and the polls are reflecting that.

  • John McCain has a woman by his side because of the "eye candy" factor. It keeps people occupied while he rambles on. It's a magic trick, never mind the old and senile man behind the curtain.

  • Barack Obama obviously has the right plan to fix the economy. He will give tax breaks to the middle class and then have tougher regulations on big businesses. John McCain will continue the Republican method of giving tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans and hope it trickles down.

  • The media cried "Crisis" when the hurricane hit Texas and caused mass panic. As a result demand for oil went up and people bought into it. It was a hoax that brought demand needlessly up. Now we are paying much more than we have to in the pumps.

  • As with all president, Bush is trying to reassure the people and maintain a confident stance the future perception of his administration. Bush's credibility of economic matters is not worth anything now. His administration has damaged the competency of the White House in these matters.
